One Weekend
2026
I spent a weekend with my girlfriend and multiple rolls of black and white film. What came out is a boudoir book, which is fun and sexy. But it’s also a document of a strong, beautiful woman choosing to be seen. There’s her lover’s gaze, and then there’s the camera. She moves between them, sometimes performing, sometimes just being. Sometimes both things at once.
I printed on handmade cotton rag because I wanted the images to breathe a little. The paper adds its own distortion, softens the edges. It’s less clinical than wood-pulp.
The accordion format stands on its own. You can see multiple pages at once, but they’re slightly obscured. You have to move around it. My favourite images are printed as removable cards in case they want to escape the sequence.
